BancPass Launches its Pay-As-You-Go, Cash Reloadable Toll Sticker Program in Partnership with the Kansas Turnpike Authority

AUSTIN TEXAS – September 23, 2019 BancPass, Inc. announced today the launch of its Pay As You Go, cash reloadable toll sticker program, in partnership with Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA). The program is focused on providing customers an option to enjoy the savings of an electronic toll tag while using cash to pre-fund the account. Starter Kits can be purchased at Kansas area Dillon’s grocery stores, a division of The Kroger Company. The Starter Kit is $20 and includes a toll sticker, reload card, and is pre-funded with $10 in tolls upon purchase. After registering the vehicle’s license plate through BancPass, users can drive the road. Customers can also replenish the account at any Dillon’s location using cash or debit, or through the BancPass phone app or website.

“We recognize the need for customers who prefer to use cash to take advantage of the discount for electronic travelers,” said Steve Hewitt, KTA Chief Executive Officer. “With the BancPass pre-paid program, those cash customers have a way to get the up to 25% discount on their tolls.”

BancPass first launched the Pay As You Go program, in 2015, through the Harris County Toll Road Authority in Houston, TX. Since then, the program has expanded through many retail partners, and into other cities in Texas and now the state of Kansas. Shannon Swank, Chief Marketing Officer for BancPass stated, “This program provides a much-needed option for toll agencies who are looking to provide a way for cash-based customers to establish an account and enjoy the cost savings of the electronic toll rate. We are excited to partner with the Kansas Turnpike Authority and Dillon’s grocery stores.”

BancPass is currently working to expand the program with other toll agencies across the country.
