BancPass, Inc. announced today that Rick Gegenheimer has joined BancPass as Vice Presi- dent of Sales to lead the adoption and implementation of BancPass’ mobile phone tolling application, PTollTM. PTollTM is the first of several Next Generation toll payment solutions that BancPass has developed. In addition to client relations, Gegenheimer’s responsibilities will include the development of BancPass’ strategic direction, expansion and operational support of BancPass’ consumer payment products and applications, and the BancPass transaction clearinghouse.

Working with the New York State Thruway Authority to integrate the E-ZPass pilot project, Gegenheimer subsequently led the efforts for the roll out on the Thruway. Rick also led the E-ZPass integration program with the MTA Bridges & Tunnels, NY, one of the largest tolling authorities in the world. Rick has been an integral part of the implementation of E-ZPass across the IAG interoperable region, and has personally worked with each of the clients and their integration teams to achieve successful installation and operation of the E-ZPass sys- tems. A seasoned expert, Gegenheimer has participated in various IBTTA & ITS America committees. Gegenheimer also served on the NJ Transportation Commissioner’s task force.
